George Stephens developed a plan for a streetcar suburb on his father-in-law’s (John Spring Myers) farm in 1905. The neighborhood was designed by the Harvard-trained landscape architect, John Nolen, and work was underway by 1911.
Myers Park is distinguished for its winding tree-lined streets, large historic homes and architectural variety. Due to its landscaped beauty, it is one of the most-visited parts of Charlotte.
For those short on time, a simple drive through the neighborhood is worthwhile in order to view the large, historic mansions along the main streets.
Rich architectural detail is seen in every corner of this custom designed Bryan Mermans plan. Beautifully situated, the English Stout plan features a unique opportunity to bring the outdoors in w/ a spacious living room that opens to outdoor dining via contemporary sliders. A private courtyard off the study offers the perfect oasis for one to reflect. Chef's dream kitchen displays Thermador appliances, sizable island & custom range hood. Main level master retreat includes perfectly appointed bath- dual vanities, soaking tub and spa shower featuring the Kohler Digital Shower Experience. Interior design by award winning design firm Tammy Coulter Design. Additional 496SF of space available to be completed above garage. Did we mention the prime location?
